i got another a for dining room operations II. so i have two a's. hooray.

now i am taking hots food II and i will find out what will i get grade in five weeks later. actually, 4 more weeks left.

today i will pick up my 10th paycheck. i will get another paycheck from my second job by next week, i believe. today i will submit my training invoice to my boss. and then i will get a paycheck. it's nice to getting two different paychecks. remember, i aim for three jobs.

why? you wonder, yes? a brand new car. that's what i wanted for. what kind? i haven't decided it yet. but here it is:

- volkswagen with a hatchack.
- honda accord.
- volvo.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I am sorry for the delay. I will tell you a story about our proposal and the pictures as well. I know we should have done it long time ago, but our schedules got in our way and were been conflicted in wrong times. Yesterday and today was a perfect time for me to do it. As promised, here it is.

I am not going to tell you how we met or even who did introduce us. What’s more, I will not tell you when was on our first date. It isn’t about based on how we started dating. This is about how the heck I propose her on that special day. This point is all about our proposal story. Without much ado, here is the proposal story. Happy reading, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, before you are reading this, I don’t know if you might need a box of Kleenex. That’s only whether if this story makes cry or not as long as you read this.

January 1, 2009, we parked the car and …. Let me skip that part, yes, I know. It’s irrelevant. I picked that spot because it was a beautiful spot; the colorful was gorgeous, and the climate was perfect. Everything was absolutely perfect. I picked the location at right time on the right place. It was on First Avenue and Ocean Avenue. Yes, I remember clearly. There was a ferry, few boats, people walking on the sidewalks, their pets, too, for dog walking, ocean view, have benches to sit, watch the sunset and give a lovely hug and kiss, you get the idea? Why am I giving you details? Geez – let’s stay on the page. Before I go further, I have always wanted to propose a girl in San Diego. That was my dream and I did it. I accomplished my dream. Oh, by the way, please don’t tell me where San Diego is. :]

I proposed to her, my fiance. Her name is April but I do not called her name April. It’s too American name. And that name is very common as well. I don’t find that unique name. No offense, my darling. I called her Hannah and it’s her Hebrew name. For instance, my name is Dmitri and my Hebrew name is David and it’s also my middle name. Repeatedly, how the heck did I propose her? Dmitri, do us a favor, stay on the point! Good riddance.

I took her to the island in San Diego. We stood by the fence and looked at the view of ocean, sunset, ferry, and everything. We talked and talked. I told her I thank her for everything. She said, you’re welcome to me. I said, no. I meant thank you for everything what you have done to me. I truly appreciated it. She stated - my pleasure. I am like, Hannah, no. that’s not what I mean. I wanted to say thank you for everything what you did to me lately. I am not going to share this to you but you get the idea. I thanked her to be there for me, be supportive in every ways, and many more. She was like “oh, oh. I am glad I did it and I am here for you when you need me.” She got it what I meant “thank you for everything what have you done.” And we talked and talked for about 10 to 15 minutes regarding to thank you parts of whatever did her to me everything. I even thanked her for her sacrifices. Then I told her, excuse me and I took my gadget to look what time it is. Hey, I have a manner to say excuse me. Then we chatted for few minutes and then I took my gadget to look what time it is. She was like, what’s going on? Do we have to leave soon? What’s wrong? You okay? I told her, nothing, I am fine. Everything is fine. I am here with you on the island to view everything out there, aren’t we? She smiled but I knew she was suspecting. But she didn’t know what the heck I was doing. Then I looked at my gadget again for time. She nagged me and demanded to know what it was already and I told her, “I have a surprise for you but a person isn’t here yet. The deliver is supposed to be here at 5pm but it’s late.” She puzzled and pondered what was it? I told her, it’s a special delivery and surprise for you. She didn’t see anything.

Keep in mind, there was no a special delivery. I just made it up. It’s called improvise. Before I go further, she said she won’t fall for anything. She always buys my story even though it’s not true. I love a fairy tale story and I did it few times to her and she, all of a sudden, believed it. A few minutes later, I told her it’s a myth and I made it up. She was like, oh, stop it and she pushed me back. Hey, hey, I do it in good way, mind you.

Anyway, let’s go back to the point where I stopped. I told her – finally, the deliver is here and I wanted you to turn around and take a look at it. I mean, turn around slowly. She was about turn around but I stopped her. I repeated her that I wanted to emphasize her to turn around slowly because I do not want you to ruin it. Please turn around slowly and see what kind of surprise is and you will be awe for this so don’t ruin it and waste my damned money on that. So she did it what I asked and she looked and saw nothing out there. She was like, damn you, Dmitri! Guess what, she failed. Hooray! I know what she wanted to do on her list is to slap on my face for this. It made her fed up with my fairy tale story and turned around to say something but I wasn’t standing behind her. I kneed down with an engagement ring within the ring box. Yes, it was open when I held the ring box and she saw the ring and I said will you marry me at same time, you know? When she turned around and I saw her facial expression that she didn’t realize I wasn’t standing behind her and she saw me kneed down with an engagement ring to propose her. I proposed her and I finally, I did it. I mean, I waited for 31 years to say this - will you marry me? When she saw it, she was shocked and awed as well. I mean, she was fully awe and her eyes were watering. She was shocked, no, I don’t mean, not in the state of shock. Because if she was, I would have taken her to hospital and propose her again. Ladies and gentlemen, I am kidding, you know? I kneed down and waited for her answer. It took few seconds for her to answer it. I was like, why wait? I was like, is she wanted a chocolate bar of snickers or what? Then I was like, Hannah, the world and I wanted to know. So will you? She was so happy and she accepted it. I was like, finally and I got stand up and put it on her and we kissed and hugged. She loves the ring I picked for her.

Here are the pictures of our engagement pictures. It was held in Scottsdale on the 16th. Yes, this time, I will tell you where it is. It’s in Arizona, d’oh, yes? :] Julius Kim was our photographer.
